Project Overview:
Clear Flow is an innovative water filtration system developed by students as part of the Citeuropass program. This project aims to provide a sustainable, eco-friendly solution for water purification using microorganisms, offering an alternative to conventional chemical-based filters. The Challenge:
Many households and businesses rely on plastic-based water filters or bottled water, contributing to environmental issues. Traditional filtration methods often involve chemicals and generate waste. Clear Flow addresses the need for a more sustainable approach to ensuring safe drinking water.
Our Solution:
Clear Flow harnesses the power of microorganisms, specifically Streptomyces bacteria, to purify water. This biological approach offers an environmentally friendly alternative to chemical filtration, aligning with Citeuropass’s focus on frugal innovations that use “life as technology”.
Key Features:
- Eco-friendly: Uses microorganisms instead of chemicals for filtration
- Sustainable: Reduces reliance on plastic filters and bottled water
- Cost-effective: Designed for long-term use with minimal maintenance
- User-friendly: Simple to install and operate in various settings
- Frugal: Maximizes purification efficiency while minimizing resource use
